An exploratory look at the newest individuals to data viz, based on individuals that indicated 5 or less years of data visualization experience in the 2020 Annual Survey conducted by the Data Visualization Society.
As someone who is also new to data visualization (6 months), I wanted to do an exploration of educational background and on the job details for others that were new to the role. Curious where our backgrounds were similar and what kind of on the job experience others have had. I like to look through graphic design galleries to gather bits of inspiration on the overall look, and then wireframe several chart types until it all fits together.
