The Data Visualization Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit run by a volunteer Board of Directors with support from contracted team members across departments.

As we grow, we have worked to shift increasingly towards engaging paid contributors to support key recurrent activities and special events. Joining the DVS team is a unique opportunity to shape the member experience, programming, publications and direction of our global organization, and we’re excited to read your application!

This page includes dedicated roles for which there is a specific scope of work, timeline, and (in some cases) compensation arrangement. You can also get more involved with DVS by signing up for a committee or leading a topical interest group.

Board of Directors Roles

The DVS Board is appointed through a Nominations process annually, with half of the Board roles open each year and members serving a two year term. On occasion, there are open seats on the board in between Nominations cycles which are filled by Board appointment in accordance with the DVS Bylaws.
